General Cable Supports Atlanta Habitat for Humanity
General Cable donated 3,000 feet of its STABILOY® Brand service entrance cable to Atlanta Habitat for Humanity to wire 40 to 45 new homes in 2013 and 2014. In keeping with the tradition established by the former Alcan Cable, the recent donation by General Cable continues the longtime partnership with the well-known non-profit organization that builds quality, affordable, green single-family homes for working families in metro Atlanta, Georgia. Founded in 1983, Atlanta Habitat has built more than 1,250 homes, empowering and improving the lives of over 4,700 individual family members.
General Cable’s STABILOY Brand aluminum alloy service entrance cable has brought safe, reliable power to America’s homes for over 40 years. For the past 11 years, our cable donations have wired 445 houses – every new house built by Atlanta Habitat since late 2002. General Cable is proud to be involved with such a worthwhile organization as Atlanta Habitat for Humanity and looks forward to strengthening its commitment to social responsibility by providing cable products to build many more homes in the coming years.
